reader, anonymous, writes (29 May 2009): A woman has a period on an average once every 28 days, but some women can have it more often than that and some less frequent than that. A period can last between 3-7 days depending on the girl and it will be between 3-6 weeks til she has another one. During that time a girl doesnt feel sexy or want to have sex infact she feels quite the opposite! And alot of girls experience stomach cramps. I have stomach cramps for the first two days and i have heavy bleeding for the first three days then the next two days i get alot lighter bleeding!

It took 4 month until I had the second and another 4 month for the third, but after that the time between to periods got shorter each time and now its every 5 weeks. It's 3 day very heavy and I usualy have pains the first two days. After 3 days ist ok and only very low. It takes 4 to 5 days more, but on a low stage.

 Twelve is the average age to begin getting your period, but it can happen any time between the ages of 10 and 16 and still be normal. A woman gets her period once a month and it generally lasts for 3-7 days depending on the person. An average cycle is 28 days long. Day one is counted as the day the woman begins to bleed, which as I already said will continue to day 3 or up to day 7. On approxamately day 14 the woman will ovulate, or release an egg in the hopes of becoming pregnant. At this time the woman may become 'hot and sexy' as her hormones rage and tell her body to have sex and conceive a child. Her uterus developes an extra lining of blood to nurture and develope the baby should the egg become fertilized. If the egg does not become fertilized then the blood lining is not needed and it sloughs off and is released as the 'period'.

U get it in ur teens 13 average but some it there period younger even older, past 16 is not normal. A period last 5 to 7 days once a month some women who don't have a normal cycle may have different time frames. But its normal once a month. About to weeks after a womens cycle is when its best to have a child if u wanted to try. But when ur own ur period it doesn't make u feel sexy or wanna have sex. I've never heard of that. But if u need to know more online will be best.
