Being an agony aunt is cool

We are not fools

But we like to help for free

That's the case for everyone like me

I put it down in song

Because a competition is now going on

Can I now have me free holiday ticket

My answer was the best so let me have it..

Bugs I won, I wrote poetry, give me my ticket now please....

HI,

People who are agony aunts do it because they are good at giving advice and is something they like to do, however it is also their job and every job you get paid. Even most voluntary jobs get expenses, so yes agony aunts do get paid as it is their job, you don't do something for nothing.

I doubt that I would get the same good feeling about myself if I was getting paid to help people, I enjoy doing it too because it's also a comfort to know that if you ever have a worry you can turn to all these great people on the site. I feel very sorry for anyone who comes on this site to give advice because they think they're going to gte paid.

bonym agony auntNo monetary payment, but the "reward" of knowing that you have possibly helped someone is as good as getting £2000 a month wages!!!!! I think my answer concurs with that of "tux" the first poster as well as the others.

What makes you ask anyway?

tux agony auntTo answer your question in the way I can answer it.. Yes we do get paid.. though you would never have enough money to pay us. We get paid with the feeling of being of assistance. And yes we are always hiring for more agony aunts. That's how I would put it.
