Even most voluntary jobs get expenses, so yes agony aunts do get paid as it is their job, you don't do something for nothing.

Just a wicked feeling that I can help others out, I guess if I have the ability I would help as many people as I could! x

A

I feel very sorry for anyone who comes on this site to give advice because they think they're going to gte paid.

No we don't get paid, not in money the reward we receive comes from within its a nice warm glow, knowing you could have helped someone in a time of need, helping someone who doesnt have friends to ask, or are to scared to ask because it could be of a delicate nature. so we all do it free A

No monetary payment, but the "reward" of knowing that you have possibly helped someone is as good as getting £2000 a month wages!!!!! I think my answer concurs with that of "tux" the first poster as well as the others.
What makes you ask anyway?

This is a free service, but we get paid in satisfaction. The knowledge that you have made a difference in somebody's life is more valuable than money.

To answer your question in the way I can answer it.. Yes we do get paid.. though you would never have enough money to pay us. We get paid with the feeling of being of assistance. And yes we are always hiring for more agony aunts. That's how I would put it.
