A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

if a boy masturbates himself and gets his seminal fluid (cum) on his fingers and immediately afterwards performs cunnilingus on a girl, and puts his wet fingers in her vagina while he fingers her, could that pass on diseases or cause pregnancy?

i do know this is not a sex education but i've seen some questions have been answered on here,

i'm growing up and want to know these things,

thanks.

A female reader, Abella United States +, writes (19 February 2011):

Abella agony auntyes yes yes and a few million more yes's - because it only take ONE sperm to get you pregnant.

And when the guy pushes his fingers (covered in his just ejaculated semen) coated with the stuff and inserts his fingers up a woman's vagina he's just giving the semen a better chance to reach the place they want to reach.

In artificial insemination of animals a method that mimics natural mating is used, with a pipette, which is inserted into the female, filled with semen. It's done to get the semen a little further up to give the best chance (for the female to get pregnant)

Semen comprises millions of sperm. There is even semen, often, in the lubricating fluid the male penis releases even before he feels he is about to ejaculate with all those millions of potential babies in his semen.

All looking for just one of your little ova (egg)

And aroused, your vagina is likely to also be nicely lubricated. Making things much easier for sperm, just as nature intended.

The man could even release his semen on to your body, to an adjacent external skin area, and the smallest amount of his seminal fluid could make its way close to the entrance to your vagina.

Then the sperm swimming regatta would start.

One of the reasons why the 'pull out' method is so successful at creating unplanned pregnancies.

Sperm are amazingly strong little swimmers. If you have ever seen the vigor of future frogs you will know how quickly those immature versions of frogs can dart here and there. Sperm are much more agile, and motivated to make that long swim north, to reach where they need to go to make a baby.

If you don't want those sperm to stand a chance then the contraceptive pill is the way to go.

So yes, theoretically and in reality a female can get pregnant without the penis having entered her vagina, but where the sperm have been facilitated to enter her vagina. And it only takes one.

BUT the contraceptive pill is not going to stop you getting a sexually transmitted disease. (STD)

You can get STD from contact with the sores of some diseases, from body fluids from an infected person, or just because nasty little critter in his pubic hair is just itching to hop into your pubic hair.

The really worst STD are from open sores and especially from Body fluids like blood, blood plasma, semen and the pre-ejaculate. And also from breast milk (this one is unlikely - but if the woman has Aids then so does her breast milk)

Blood and semen fluids have the highest concentration of the STD called AIDS.

To a lesser extent other bodily fluids like sweat, saliva, spit also could/do contain the AIDS virus, but only in very minute amounts and not in high enough concentrations to infect you.

Blood and Semen/seminal and pre-ejaculate are the big ones.

That is why a condom is the best protective device to protect from the bodily fluid bourne STDs

but a condom is not the best protection against pregnancy.

But there are other nasty STDs such as crabs. Nasty sucking little creatures who will leave you itching.

Syphllis used to be very feared and it is VERY utterly painful when the infection first strikes, but (at the moment) syphllis is still treatable. But there may come a time when resistant strains make syphllis untreatable in the future. Syphillis is horrible and untreated the patient will experience agony and will go insane (mad) before they finally succumb to this STD

Herpes simplex which you can get in your vagina or your mouth from contact with a herpes sore (from intercourse or from fellatio). Once you have herpes you have it for life. It can also affect your fertility.

Herpes can be very painful and at it's worst big pus filled bumps on your skin can become so big that they touch each bump and the skin can look reptilean or like skin from a person from another planet For most people though it might result in a few nasty sores. But it is still herpes

And a man can get herpes from unseen herpes sores within a woman's vagina.

Then there are genital warts. Another STD. These are Nasty looking little bumps that will stay on your outer and inner lips.

There are more STD but some listed above is enough to get you thinking.

About such things as the merits of searching for a partner who of faithful, not a player.

Of delaying sex for a considerable time. Until you both have been checked by a DR for any existing STD before you jave sex together.

A policeman once told me that 'good'(? There is such a thing?) brothels teach their girls how to properly do a visual on the penis for any visable STD. I did not ask how. I don't know if he was telling the truth. It was a social occasion in mixed company and i didn't want to interrupt.

Seems to me that it would be good if regular girls dating guys and contemplating a sexual relationship should be able to ask him to get a blood test and be taught in a professional class by Doctors how to spot an evident STD.

I mean, who wants a death sentence or untold terrible pain heaped on her, just after have a night of passion with a guy with a STD?

Guys who are players will probably not even remenber all the gals they've made love to. So are at high risk of picking up a STD.

I'd prefer a quieter more peaceful life any day. With a truthful faithful guy whose values are aligned with mine so we get to enjoy lovemaking. Without the fear of 'what if he's infected with ???

A reader, anonymous, writes (19 February 2011):

Yes, it is possible for a man to get a woman pregnant or pass diseases by having this happen. There doesn't have to be penetration for this to occur. If he had cum on his hand then touched you it is possible that one or both of these could happen.

This is exactly how Susanne Summers got pregnant. She was still a virgin.

A male reader, ironman777 New Zealand +, writes (19 February 2011):

Hi,

In theory it's possible I suppose, but the chances are really very very low. There's a reason that a man shoots out 60 million sperm because only about 100 of them finally reach the egg (if it's the right time of the month for the female). Then only one of these actually fertilizes the egg. There are so many things that have to happen in the right order to make a baby, so the chances that say even a million sperm find their way into the vagina, only a couple of sperm might reach the egg. The chances are so small. Exposure to air also kills the sperm very quickly as well.

A male reader, sevenseals United States +, writes (19 February 2011):

sevenseals agony auntIt might be possible, but highly unlikely. Contrary to popular belief, it's actually quite difficult to get pregnant. The body may reject and kill off all the sperm before it even reaches anywhere beyond the cervix.

Recent studies have suggested that pregnancy is easier to attain if your mental state is of an "accepting nature," over those that have a mental preference to not get pregnant. That doesn't mean that it's safe to have sex without a condom, though, and not get pregnant. It could still happen, regardless of how strongly you oppose it.

Just be safe, and don't jump into that part of life at your age. It's a common problem because of ignorance, and it's unfortunate because so many societal efforts are complicit in it. Keep educating yourself, use protection and keep in mind that, though your urges and interests are natural, it doesn't mean you should be zealous and leave your youth behind. Nor does it mean that you're a terrible person or "evil" for even entertaining the idea. Biologically and evolutionarily speaking, you're completely normal.

Take care, be aware! (Corny, after-school special phrases are amazing)

A male reader, Capri2 Argentina +, writes (19 February 2011):

Yes. Of course. It's really rare, but it's perfectly possible. Knowing how fate works, if you don't want to get pregnant and do that, you will end up having a baby.

Take into account that you can get pregnant by having intercourse without a condom with just one thrust because there are spermatozoids coming out as soon as the male gets excited. They come with the pre-seminal fluids.

In the practice, having sex with condoms is enough for not getting pregnant. But, condoms can break. So it is much more safer to get the pill too. Just in case. Always under medical prescription, please.
