writes:I have this friend who I hung out with a few times. I kind of knew he likes me because he hugs me, makes me compliments and stuff like that. Yesterday he asked me if I want to be with him and I told him I don't know, and I would like to take things slower. But now I think it was wrong to tell him that, because I don't like him anymore, I'm like confused. We didn't kiss, but I only want to do that with him, I want somebody to make out with, I don't want a relationship, much less a serious one! How do I tell him that without feeling awkward? reader, anonymous, writes (12 August 2011): it is best to be honest RIGHT NOW. It is harder if you wait.. I have always tried to avoid hurting people's feelings, but if you wait, it will hurt him more. You could always say "I just want to be honest with you, I am not looking for something serious, just a playful FWB sorta thing..." and if he isn't into it, it is ok, best to let him go and not hurt him.
