I want to go out with her, but should I give her the time and space she's asked for?

A male United Kingdom age 22-25, anonymous writes:

Theres this girl i asked out. She said she might like to go out, but wasnt sure about a relationship and wanted time to think. This happened a few weeks ago, and we've talked a little since but only as friends, but i did suggest we did something together sometime as friends and she said she was very busy (which was prob true, but is also an easy excuse).

I want to go ut with her, but should I give her the time and space shes ask for and keep my distance and hope she'll decide she wants to go out, or should I go after and try and win her over as such? Yet I don't want to push her away by being too forward or even appearing creepy.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (30 March 2007):

Give her space until she decides that she wants to go out with you. You can't force her into a relationship that she doesn't want to be in. When she's ready she'll tell you and then you can enjoy yourselves going out somewhere in which you both like. As for now stay friends with her.

P.S. As for when you suggested that you did something together as friends but she declined, saying that she was busy she either was telling the truth or she wasn't quite ready to go out with you (even though you said as friends).
