 I met the best guys when I was engaged in doing something I was passionate about, and was utterly and totally myself, without having to worry about hair and makeup and dressing up. I have to admit that I was very athletic when I was younger, so co-ed volleyball found me my college boyfriend, and the high-school one was a football player, when I was doing cross-country, so we eyed each other up across the football field. I met my husband at a Kentucky Derby party and I was just enjoying my friends and having a wonderful time, not worried about impressing anyone or flirting or anything like that.
Be yourself, and let your freak flag fly, as another friend says. When the sheer joy of life and good things going on around you is on your face, you are a thousand times more captivating than if you spent hours getting your mascara just right.
