A female Australia age 30-35, ***unknown*** writes:

My boyfriend and i recently broke up. well yesterday. we were doing a long distance relationship for the last year and he is living 5 hours drive away from me. he is 27 and i am 21. we saw each other every 3 weeks for a few days. He went up to coach footy for the year, so its not like he had to be there! neways ... i broke up with him. i had too! he left me no choice. he a) stopped telling me that he loved me. b) never messaged me when he was drinking and always made me seem like effort, lately it was me who had to always call or msg or he simply just wouldnt c) he would alway swear at me and be awful, d) it felt like i was getting in his way and he showed me that i was so unimportant to him.

the night before i was meant to go over to see him, i was a shit gf and went on his facebook and caught him messaging some girl. she was not attractive so i was not jealous. but he gave her his number and said message me. when i asked him he said he "thought it was one of the footys boy sisters, when he played in darwin once upon a time". so thats what triggered the breakup! but i dont believe him. he broke my heart when i saw that.

i know it was me who broke it off... but i didn't feel as though he was in love with me anymore so i had to... i cried myself to sleep every night for months. SO i finally did it. and i am hurting so much. i love him so much. i NEED TO MOVE ON! when i called the shot he showed no sign to care, he didnt chase me just agreed and said ok and the last msg i got from him was "i still love you, i hope you come around one day and i thought we would get married". i have blocked all contact but i secretly want him back. I dont know what to do? someone please put me out of my misery. But i want him to chase me because he has hurt me so much that im dying a little inside each day.

he was living a 5 hour drive from me It was my call infact. But i had to do it because a)

A female reader, mimisoph3 United States +, writes (25 July 2010):

mimisoph3 agony auntfirst of all ur 21 u should be wit ur friends having fun driving it up clubbing and not worrying about an immature 27yr old. the reason he said i still love u and want to get married in the future was to make u regret dumping him and tried to make u cry(which he did) and ur bagging for a wrong guy to go in ur life if he "still loved u" then he would of said something he always had time to say that so why would he say it when u broke up wit him because he wants u crawling back

u deserve so much more..i suggest if u want to get him jealous just go out and meet guys those guys are going to add u on facebook and comment ur pic/statuses and even ask to hang out ur ex will see that and want u back or just wouldnt care less

it seems like he doesnt love u and never did so i would just move on and start dating the face tht he flirted wit the facebook girl nd probably texted back and forth behind ur back his an idiot! he never loved u! because if he did he wouldnt be making u cry everynight!

dont worry about guys like that he has no future his 27 and still fliritng and not knowning wat love is ur not the girl for him ur 21 go and have fun dont forget to call up ur friends have a giirls night and post some pics on facebook haha just dont think about him! delete his number good luck!
