I want him to be my first kiss, should I move on or wait?

There is this guy in my year at school and we are good friends we flirt a bit but it's really awkward because everyone in our year knows that at some point one of us has fancied the other.I still fancy him but I'm not sure he fancies me. We are at the age were everyone in our year is starting to kiss other people and i want him to be my first but he does loads of sport so he can never come to the dances. I don't want to get left behind because all of my friends have already pulled but one of his friends told me he wants to kiss me. so i don't know if I should move on or still wait for him.
