your mates are not in this relationship with you and him it has nothing to do with them. It dont matter what they think. You cant be with somebody and only stay with him because of what your friends will say if you dumped him. As the other reader said do not sting him aloong because that is not a nice feeling.
Dont worry about it
If you feel that you are better off as friends then go with what you feel and not by what you friends might feel.
