Will someone tell me if this is right? also I think he is an alcoholic, would you say a man who drinks every single day, and very heavily at weekends is one? he cannot seem to go a day without beer. By the way, I wont get in the car when he is drinking, but I cant stop him. any ideas?

I am saying the 3 pints and wine are only when he is driving, when not driving it could be any amount. He is not depressed. Just loves alcohol. Drinks alone, though only a few glasses of wine a night, not a day goes by without beer or wine. I dont think he can live without it to be truthful. Ive answered my own question. also he has plenty of money, and that is a big problem as he can afford it.

My question for you is this, can he live without the alcohol? Also, does he drink to the point that you believe is unhealthy? Also, the weekends... i have to ask about that... when you say heavy on the weekends... are you saying 3 pints / 2 large glasses of wine in a single sitting? if so, then maybe, but I would still wonder this... does he drink excessively more when he is alone, or when he is with others? Also, if he drinks 3 pints and 2 large glasses of wine over the period of say 12 hrs, though I think its excessive, I would say most likely he could drive, however, I would question his health. Does he drink for depression? Has he had his liver checked?
