I sent him a letter expressing how I feel but now I haven't heard from him!

A female United Kingdom age 51-59, *hinachik writes:

I know i shouldn't have sent him a letter telling him that i was falling for him, but i can't help how i feel- we been dating for 3months when we can as he's in the military and is always working.

He's now been quiet and not heard from him all day-where normally we send a text most days- what do i do now? He's a nice guy, and ideally I would take it back and not mention it- I feel like a fool, but its hard to ask him where I stand as I don't want to pressure him, but I'm finding it very hard to deal with the overwhelming emotions every now and then. I know he's been a bit emotional too about it- he stood me up once when we arranged to meet because he got all emotional... but what do I do now- should i just pretend I never said it? Contact him and not mention it? Please help- I just want to be able to spend more time with him and get to know him and I know I'm rubbish at this!

A female reader, monties United States +, writes (7 August 2010):

I think you should pretend that you never sent him anything until he talks to you again. As for his answer to your letter, you should ask him while you're in the peak of your romance.
