Question - (4 July 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 July 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 16-17, *achil writes:

hey guys, i feel like shit to put it bluntly, and by shit i mean real low, and ive felt like this on and off since valentines day, i had a boyfriend of 8month and we split up the day after valentines day.

we were on and off and both lost are virginities to each other. At first he was in love with me, it was so obvious he even cried when we argued, later on in the relationship he didn't care much, he was still loving but i could tell things where coming to an end and we kept on splitting up and getting back together. About 2weeks after been apart he'd usually come back.

im 16 so i've just left school this means i wont ever see him again, as we live 15miles away but go to a school somewhere inbetween. ive tried so hard to get over him ive dated other guys, even been in another relationship since him, then cheated on my new boyfriend with my ex im talking about now, my ex said it meant nothing the day after. (this was at the begining of may)

we just had our school prom we both had different prom dates but we didnt do anything physical with our dates, our dates were just friends. All night i kept casually keeping an eye on him and he didn't show much attention to the other girls.

ever since we split up he's always tried to flirt with girls other than me and ive sorta warned them off, the other night my ex was angry on MSN telling me to stop being pathetic telling all the other girls to avoid him, he obviously found out.

i denied it and said your not going to believe what i say so im blocking you on here and removing you as a friend on facebook its been great knowing you, goodbye forever, x

he belived his mate 'bissit' when he said ''rachael's telling girls to avoid you''

my ex then said threw a joint conversation on msn.. ''rachael, sorry bout before, but someone honestly did tell me and i thought it wo bissit, but it wasnt, an im now really confused thinking who it was, never mind, you dont have to delete me i believe you. sorry man''

long story short, this guy means the world to me no other man compares to him, its been ages since we split up and i can't move on you have no idea how upset i really am over it, i just want some guidance on how to get him back or what to do next someone please help me out, please.

A female reader, Only_In_Dreams United States +, writes (4 July 2009):

I'm in a similar situation with someone and I know how it feels to see him and think you'll never move on and how you just know that you're meant to be together and he's the one. But from my own personal experience, I've learned that sometimes they have to come back on their own and the best thing you can do is give him some space, but keep a friendship and hope that things can work themselves back to the way they were before. I know this sounds like a horrible thing and a waste of time, but I think you would rather have him in your life as a friend than nothing and maybe by being friends, you might see a different side and might not be in love the way you were before, but the situation is different for everyone. I really hope this helped.
