writes:Hi,i am sunny,i am in big trouble,i am in love with my cousin sister.this started in fall of 2008.it was then when i had seen her after 10 years.i am 17 at present and she is just 1 year elder to me (18).at that time, it was just as a brother and sister should be.but from past 3 years, i have eventualy developed the feeling of love for her.she lives in a different state, and i visit her in every fall.and because she lives far from my place, this makes me think of her even more.i can't get her off my mind, she's the first thought that comes to my mind in the morning and remains the last thought till night.i realy love her, and i think that she also knows about this.please help me !

 If she is your cousin's sister that would make her your cousin too. If she was your cousin sister by the one parent that is not related to you than this makes her not your cousin in my book and their shouldn't be a problem if you date.

I suggest you keep busy with other things and stop obsessing over her because it's not healthy. Go out with your friends or something.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 June 2011): first and foremost,relax and think about it pateintly.you are just 17 and having this kind of love at this age is quote common and normal.i also loved my cousin and wanted to marry her...but as years passed i grew out of it...she was close to me and showed me affection and i reciprocated..i even thought of telling it to my parents a few years later.but it all fizzled out as we both grew ..we both realized it was just infatuation and nothing more then infatuation..as you both grow you will meet a lot of people and both of you grow out of it...5 years later if you both have feelings to each other then you can ask her about it but i am sure she would laugh it out too..plus if your an indian,marrying your cousins isnt accepted in society unless your a parsi...good luck
