 I think it depends how much of your body you are showing if, it is of course up to you what you choose to wear and nobody can tell you what do wear. But you should also respect your gf and how she feels about the image you give off, if you dress like a tart then people will think your a tart and she clear doesn't want that.

 It's never right to insist on a change in your partners life. Then again, if you're in a relationship, you should always consider how your partner feels about the decisions you make. So, in essence, you're both wrong.
What you need to do is attempt to find a compromise. Explain why you like to wear those clothes and listen to why she wants you not to. Talk about ways you can meet in the middle and work this out.
I'll tell you one thing, showing off your body can be very sleazy looking, but if it's done in a conservative way, it's even hotter than hanging out the goods. It's the difference between a lady and a tramp, at least as far as looks are concerned.
