I like him but I ignore his calls! why do I do this to him?

Same boyfriend. today he wanted to see me and last night i told him i would come, i never answered his 38 calls and i ignored his texts, does it mean i hate him? i've been with him for 6 months and we are tight? i usually ignore his calls but do pick it up after the 3rd, and if he asked whats wrong with my phone i would just say my cousin was using it or say i dont know. do i really need to break up with him? does it really mean i dont like him? i am addicted to him though. i dont know.. im confused. please comment if you understand.xx
