A female Turkey age 30-35, *arnes66 writes:

I have had a crush on a co worker for while now. He has always been friendly towards me since he got hired but I never thought much out of it.I just thought he was just being friendly even though I fancy him

However, today I decided to wear an eye liner, foundation and mascara at work for the first time. I was working on his floor so I figure our why not. We don't work everyday since we have different positions. Just here and there

Then sometime later during the shift after he finished applying a dressing to one of the residents,he asked me to get a pack of ice for her hands that's swollen in the fridge .He went in is office to get a plastic bag to put the ice in it then when it was just the 2 of us in the kitchen he was like ``So you did your make up today, you look good``I just blushed and said thank you .

I am so shy so I just froze then I asked him if he ever goes out and he said he does occasionally to a pub but that's about it. We made a small talk about casual staff. I would prefer not to date a co worker but if I am truly interested and the person feel the same way then why not

Does this mean he likes me as well or am I just reading too much into it? Why would he bother to comment?

I think you might be reading a little bit too much into it. Lot's of people who are nice and friendly give compliments like that. It's just that you've noticed it more this time because you fancy him.

If it had been a female colleague or a much older male co-worker you probably would just have accepted the compliment and not thought much more about it. I compliment people I don't fancy all the time.

I'm not saying he DOESN'T fancy you - just that you can't tell from that comment/compliment alone.
