I have been with the same guy for just over one year. I thought everything was good but then the other night I cheated.

I always said I would never do this to someone but I was drunk and this is the first guy I've ever done it with. I now keep thinking about this guy and have emailed him a couple of times which I know is very bad but I get butterflies when I think about him.

Does anyone know what I should do? My boyfriend treats me well and really loves me but i'm beginning to think we are more like friends than a couple.

A reader, Bridget, writes (11 March 2005):

Once a cheater, always a cheater. You don't deserve your boyfriend if you're going to cheat. Break up with him and be with whoever you want. There's no need to drag him down too.
