writes:uhhh well basically, I really like this guy and I think he does like me too. I speak to him for hours on the internet most nights, and see him about once a month, which I know isn't often enough. I know there's not even a small glimmer of hope of a relationship as we simply live too far away so it's very unpractical for 16 year olds.Just lately, I've been getting so upset over it all. I know it'll pass and everything, but I want him so bad, it actually hurts. It's even getting to the point that I constantly cry myself to sleep and all that.I just...is there anyway I can make the pain go away?!

 Hey girl!!! Well i pretty much went through the same thing with my ex. Only it was kind of worse. Well we went out for 11 months and in that time i saw him like once a month maybe twice if i was lucky. And he would never call me or come visit me even though he could. But the thing is we are even younger than you. We are 13 years old. and when he broke up with me it was cuz he was hurting me too much cuz he would never visit me and we didn't go to the same school. And i was miserable after he broke up with me cuz i wanted to be with him but i couldn't. And i learned to deal with it and i would cry myself to sleep too. But later you will begin to notice it's pretty stupid to cry over something that's just not going to happen. Well good luck in getting over him. You might think it's stupid what i'm telling you cuz i'm younger than you but i just want to help you. -Vanessa(Vane)

 If there is no chance of a relationship then maybe you should stop the contact with him as the longer this goes on the worse you are going to feel.
Don't get me wrong it will hurt at first but if you get out with your friends and do things to take your mind off him, and you will wake up one day and realise that you have not thought about him for a couple of days.
