A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *mmar writes:

I hate my body, it's horrible and one sight of myself can make me deppressed. I have a boyfriend and i'm scared to sleep with him because i don't want him to see my body.

I weigh 10 stone and my stomach is much bigger where as my legs are thin. I have massive breasts and psoriasis. The psoriasis all over my back, under my breasts and dotted around my body. Every time i see my body i hate it a little bit more.

i've tried to diet and lose some weight but it's too hard because i gain weight extremely easily and it's really hard to lose it. I also have stretchmarks, over my stomach, legs and waist. Basically, i hate myself.

what do i do??

My word, girl, at only 10 stone (140 pounds to all you Americans like me) how short are you to call yourself fat and large? I am 209 pounds (which is roughly 14 stone) and love my body!

At your age, I was very scared about my shape and thought I was fat, and was even thinner than I am now. However, at 25 it has taken me years, and one very special man to help, to make me see how great my body was.

All men like different shapes and they realize that normal women are not movie stars. Your boyfriend is your boyfriend, because he likes you, and if you have told him about your psoriasis I am sure he is understanding. If you haven't, explain it to him, and tell him your fears.

It is hard to look in the mirror and not see flaws. Once in a while I catch myself picking at my body or face and saying what's wrong with it, and then I stop myself and see myself for what I am. Please take the time to tell yourself something new each day that you find appealing about your appearance. This will help.

Love ya, and take care of yourself! Everyone has body image issues, but we all must overcome them!

OK, Listen no one is perfect and beauty comes in different forms. The psoriasis is treatable a visit to a dermatologist should do the trick. It sounds like this you are nervous and have lacking a bit of confidence.Thin legs are actually GOOD.. most women would kill for thin legs. If you need to lose weight, remember a diet alone does not do it.. take long walks, execise and drink LOTS of water.this might sound strange. Send me a picture of yourself or do you have one online? we can give you tips on wearing the right clothes and maybe hair. If you are not comfortable with that.. that is fine. Just remember, you are beautiful and if someone does not like you just because of your looks.. they do not deserve you.
