Thanks for your cool answers people! I've done the exams, and passed with straight A*'s! I just want to say how much your advice helped me and thank you so much, I was thinking about your answers when I revised and when I was taking the test, and it helped soooo much! And hey, you're right, no-one's disappointed with me!

It's never too late! I was in set 1 for everything during my GCSEs and was frankly doing absolutely awful in Maths. In my Mocks, the Christmas before my GCSEs I got 7% which was a complete blow to my confidence. I asked to be moved down a set, because I had a better chance of getting a grade, let alone a decent one on 2nd tier. The minute I moved, it was like a whole world had been lifted from my shoulders.

And that summer I got the highest grade I could for that paper - a higher grade pass C!

But hey that's year 11. Year 9 is quite a yucky year, because you are just getting to the stage of choosing subjects etc... talk to your parents about how you feel - you'll be pleasantly surprised I'm sure.

Secondly don't think too much about what career you want at the moment, think of the subjects you enjoy. Do you prefer languages or the arts, or more vocational courses. I chose languages although I didn't have a clue what I wnated to do (still don't), but I knew I enjoyed languages up to then. I managed to get excellent grades. My brother chose carpentry, and although now he's studying Business Management in Uni now, he is very pleased he did carpentry, although he won't use it as a career, he has excellent skills for a hobby he enjoys.

So don't fret too much, if you feel you want to drop a grade, then chat to your form tutor, and they'll support you I assure you!
