 If a teacher wrote a question on here saying 'i fancy my student, i want her to like, what should I do?' everybody would be up in arms. I reckon you should flirt subtley now, as in playful becasue it can actually be quite a good social skill and could help you connect with your teacher and get better grades. However wait until you have left or on your last day to persue it any furthur than playfulness.

reader, anonymous, writes (22 May 2008): i have the exact same problem. I have fancied my physics teacher for nearly a year now and sometimes it really gets to me.
When you say you want him to like you do you mean in the same way you like him? If so i don't think that that is a very good idea. If you tell him how you feel, it might really freak him out or even worse he cud end up in trouble or even get fired, which i'm sure is not what you want!
However, if one good thing has come out of my experience, it would be my grades! I used to hate physics, but since i've fancied my teacher my grades have got better and better. My constant need to impress him has made me study hard and concerntrate more in class (well at least i try to!) I actually look forward to physics lessons now and i even managed to get an A* in my module test. I was really pleased and the best thing was so was he!
So try and turn your problem around, study hard and soon you'll make a good impression. It worked for me and i wasn't even aware i was doing it!

 Study hard, get an education and pass your exams. This will impress him and make him proud. This flirting stuff is no good, there's is nothing that can happen between you and your teacher. It's impossible, whilst your still in school. If he's seriously flirting with you then I would be carefull, this is a pervert who likes little girls and shouldn't be teaching in a school.

reader, anonymous, writes (22 May 2008): Hiya, even though you may like him its best to not go any further with these feelings as teachers are strictly there to teach you and help you in life. He is probably married with maybe even kids. So i would find someone more suitable like another student in your school.

Mine was a gorgeous Maths teacher who looked like David Essex, oh i was going to have his babies. He was 15 years older than me, married with kids, a no no from the start. And way too old for me at the age of 15! Its a fancy and that is where it should stay, lots of kids and teacher have got into trouble in the past for carrying through fancies just like yours, walk away and meet someone young, free and available.

If your looking to be respected in class, then work hard and study at home so you can ask questions that will help you understand the material better, and then perform great on any and all tests he hands out. If you get a 100% on your test, he will offer other assistance to help you in your educational career.

Ignore these feelings, keep yourself busy, they will go away. Teachers have a job, they work to pay the bills. They are there to teach you, not to fall in love. They cannot have a relationship with you, they are not your friend, they cannot be your boyfriend/girlfriend.
It is good that you love your teacher. Now you know you can fall in love. Spend time with people your own age, develop interests and hobbies, and wait untill the right person comes along so you can fall in love again.
