writes:what do i do? ive been friends with this girl for many years but only been realy good friends for about 2 years. how else can i say it... she is the love of my life... yesterday i asked her to be my girlfriend.. she said yes.. today i get an email saying she she shouldnt of said yes last night and that she loves me just as a very best friend. but i love her. what can i do to be with her???

reader, anonymous, writes (13 May 2007): First of all, you need to respect her opinion. I know it's hard, because I'm the same age as you.(Teens don't take no as an acceptable answer.) Second, think about her answers. Why did she say yes one day and no the next? Maybe it's best if you two only remain friends.
