I had 3 false negatives on my tests when I was pregnant. Go to the doctor and get the blood test. Good luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 October 2007): you could very well be pregnant. I was 3 months pregnant when i found out. i was using birth control and having normal periods up until that time. One morning at 2 am i got up to pee. When i left the bathroom i past out for 45 min. my husband the next day bought 5 pregnancy tests. They were all positive. Soon after that i was having stomach and back pains so bad that i couldn't even sleep and i did't have a belly on me you couldn't tell i was pregnant. So i went to the hospital and they said i had a blader infection and a baby of 19 weeks.

i agree with the other poster - you may be pregnant but its a bit too early to tell. or your period being 5 days late may be caused by the stress of worrying if you are pregnant! then again back and muscle ache can be a sign that your period is due, pregnant women dont usually experience back ache until further on when carrying the weight of the baby starts to take its toll. so right now it could go either way and there isnt much you can do yet so just wait it out for another week or so then either do another test or go see your doctor.

Negative pregnancy tests aren't uncommon if taken within two weeks of conception.
Wait another week perhaps (if you can stand it!) and if your period hasn't come by then, pop into your GP for a test.
I hope the result is what you're hoping for!
