A female Malaysia age 30-35, *ugarBlush writes:

Me and my bf we've been together for almost 9 months now. We're both 18 this year. I have met his 22 year-old older sister (lesbian), 10 year-old little sister and his mother. How do I get along with his little sister? One thing for sure is he's really sweet with her little sister and they play computer games together ALWAYS and when he's out of town, they'll always chat through facebook and play online games together. They just lost a father recently and her little sister is getting lonely especially the fact that my bf is currently out of town to stay with his grandparents for a while and his older sister usually minds her own business.

My bf wants me to get along with her. I know she loves disney, sonny with a chance, demi lovato, selena gomez and stuff like that. I'd love to get to know her especially because she sounds just like me when I was her age! How do I get along with her through facebook? Because right now, that's the only way i can talk to her and she loves to chat according to my bf. Any ideas? Suggestions?

A reader, anonymous, writes (15 August 2011):

I had this situation recently with my fiances sister who is 8. Their mum died a few years ago and he got really close to his sister. She likes girly stuff like disney so i organised a girls night in with facemasks, disney films and hot chocolate with marshmallows. She loved it and now we talk all the time over skype. We have gotten quite close and apparently she loves visiting us. Basically i would just embrace what she likes and find a common ground. Hope this helped :D x

Eilish agony auntJust take her interests and embrace them. Get your ideas from there. Maybe both sit down and watch a Disney film and talk about who your favourite character is? Play games with her like her brother did and tell her 'I bet I'm better than you AND your brother' to encourage her to play. Just start talking to her like normal and suggest to spend some time with her xxx
