I've been on the pill since I was 15, am now 21 and have had sex fairly continuously throughout I've never once had the guy pull out before ejaculation.

As long as you use the pill correctly (ie take it at a similar time each day, don't forget one etc) then it's VERY unlikely that it'll fail. I think there's a 0.0001% chance or something.

However, it doesn't protect, of course, against STD's, so make sure you're both 'clean' before you have sex without a condom.

DoubleM agony auntAt your age, and when both partners are fertile, there is no absolute either way that pregnancy will or will not result from unrestricted sexual intercourse (which I contend is the most pleasurable). While admittedly the more intense satisfaction, the odds of pregnancy are certainly increased with unrestricted ejaculation, yet greatly reduced close to 99 percent for most women on the pill.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (16 June 2008):

I am on the pill and we still use the pull-out method.

In the two and a half or three years I've been having sex, I have never had a guy ejaculate into me, even on the pill.

A little risky, don't you think? Especially since we're about the same age (16-18), and we have a future ahead of us.

I'd seriously recommend using a condom, thought...I can't count the number of times I was late and thought I was pregnant and freaked out. It's scary. When you can't abstain, be smart. Don't be a fool, wrap his tool.

A female reader, SugarCookie United States +, writes (16 June 2008):

It is not safe on the pill. There are a lot of pill babies. If you wanted to be safe then you should wear a condom and take the pill. I myself am on the depo shot and have being sexually after with my fiance for three and a half years. We started not using a condom after about six months on the shot and three years later I am still not pregnant. My sister-in-laws friend was on the pill and got pregnant with faturnal twins so I really advise a condom with that birth control option.
