You can do hand jobs when he's in almost any sort of clothes, but he'll probably enjoy it more if he's naked.

 Your question isn't stupid most people don't know what there doing so at most times it's best to ask for help or advice. In my own dealings with hand jobs i don't think it matters how much clothing you take off him. And second, you can never really tell how much 'mess' there will be after it all depends on the guy and what he's 'done' in the last 24-72 hours.  Hi, This is not a stupid question! Ok, I'm a male....may be an idea to lay him down naked, and when erect, pull his thing upright and begin to slide your hand. An idea would be to use baby oil. As for afterwards, when he ejaculates, try to guide the flow so it falls on his stomach. Keep sliding his thing for a little while afterwards to empty him.
