If a bad thing happens it is because of carelessness on someone's part and not because the unseen forces that control us conspired against us. Gravity affects everyone whether believer in a deity or not. If you fall off a ladder and break your back or are impaled on a stake it is because you didn't take enough precautions to avert the ladder slipping or moving. Thus, I think you must always be alert to the consequences of what you are doing and you always need to pay attention to your surroundings. This also means checking for yourself whatever assumed safety mechanisms exist in the hotel, airplane, car, movie theater, mall, etc.On a personal level, I don't agree with the phrase as it purports to tell you that you are being manipulated for your own good by a being that controls your life by meeting out hardships to mold you so as to be able to bear your life now and in the future. I think that it is pretty safe to say that if there is an almighty, omnipotent, omniscient, all-knowing entity that created our universe that it does not get involved at all in the running of said universe. There is too much evil in this world that is not averted. I think that bad things happen to us or our loved ones because of carelessness on our part or selfishness on the part of someone else or because of a natural, physical reaction to something that curtailed a physical or natural process in the body. Example, abuse by alcohol, drugs, etc. When someone we love dies by whatever cause it can be ascribed to carelessness, selfishness on someone's part or a natural process. I think it also shows that you are completely free to do whatever you want but that there are consequences for your actions.Pretty much, what I am trying to say is that it is a natural world, governed by the laws of physics, were any mistake will be punished so you must always be on your guard and careful about what it is you are doing.

It is BS, the rock band Rush has a very blunt song that looks and deals with the exact issue, it's called Roll The Bones, "why are we here, because were here" "why does it happen, because it happens"you can certainly manipulate something to happen a certain way, say if I walk up to somebody with a 45, and shoot them in the face, just for no reason, then obviously, it didnt happen for a reason, even though, loved ones of the person I shot could profess it must have happened for a reason! it's all just BS by people that want to trick there minds instead of dealing with them, much like try telling people theres no such thing as Karma, they will swear up and down what comes around goes around, BULLSHIT!! plenty of bad shit happens to good people, while plenty of bad people live like kings and never have a worry till the day they die of old age! it's all bullshit!

If its not to mutch maybe you could tell us whats going on maybe we can help and i promise not to say "everything happens for a reason"
