writes:Hey, I was just wondering......On thursday i had unprotected sex..we thought it would be fine as my period was due on sunday and we didnt think there would be much risk so close to my period.... Anyway Now I'm late...only by one day mine. But I was just wondering how long after conception would it take to affect your period ? i mean since it was only thursday if i WAS pregnant it wouldnt effect my period yet would it? thanks...xxx

i dont know about effecting your period, but you are probably not pregnant. dont worry as worry and stress can delay your periods,try drinking honey tea and eggs that normally brings the period on quick,next time think before you do something like that but if you want to get pregnant then good luck girl and dont be scared as a baby is a blessing and dont mind uncle phil as he does not like my answers that much because he is jealous. luv saf

reader, anonymous, writes (26 November 2007): Can I just ask why you thought you would be safe when just before your period your egg is sitting nice and low down in your uterus so the sperm have far less distance to travel to fertilise it?

 Love him is correct, you can in fact get pregnant even when your on your period! (although it is less likely than if you were at your most fertile mid-cycle) so why wouldnt you get pregs a few days before your due? If it hasnt come within the next few days, then go see your doc for an early preg test xxxxxxxx

 Hon, go to see your doctor, your period could be affectd at any time. The reason you have a period is when the egg is discarded but it wont be if it is fertilized. Take a test and its better to use condoms at all times in the future unless you want a babyy :) I hope i helped and feel free to mail me about anything x
