A female reader, anonymous, writes (23 October 2009):

If you need to ask, then you haven't had a real orgasm.. You probably got close, but did not cross over to the dark side.

Girls orgasm differently, however, all orgasms result in the clitoris getting very sensitive and the vaginal wall muscles contracting quickly. When I eat out my g/f, I slide a finger up inside her vagina so I can feel her contractions while I suck and lick her clit and labia. That helps me time her orgasm. When she cums She usually grabs my head and pulls my mouth off of her vagina because her clit gets too sensitive to touch. Her face gets very flush, her toes curl up, and she often shudders. If you haven't experienced all of these, then you haven't orgasmed.

A female reader, satindesire United States +, writes (23 October 2009):

satindesire agony auntNo, you shouldn't seek a doctor, you need to learn how to bring yourself to orgasm.

Fact is, a woman trying to have sex without ever having an orgasm by masturbating is like a deaf person trying to teach another deaf person how to sing. If you don't know how to bring yourself to orgasm, how are you supposed to teach someone else?

I'm always surprised to come into these threads and see that no one except me ever says anything directly about masturbating or female anatomy, like you're just supposed to magically learn it on your own. At your age, if you haven't learned it on your own by now, you aren't going to unless someone teaches you.

Here's a Wiki link, this will teach you about your genital's anatomy:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulva

Most women get the most pleasure and easiest orgasms from clitoral stimulation. That's because the clitoris and the penis were made up of the same nerves and tissue before the fetus begins to develop gender. When the baby begins to develop gender, the tissue and nerves become a penis for a male, and a clitoris for a female. Most people are not aware of this and think that vaginal stimulation, and/or penis-in-vagina intercourse should be 'good enough' and pleasurable enough for a woman to have an orgasm, but that's not usually the case. Some women ARE capable of having a vaginal orgasm due to vaginal stimulation, but that's not the general case for most women.

Bringing a woman to orgasm without touching her clitoris is usually like trying to bring a man to orgasm without touching his penis. Does that sound possible to you in most cases? Most likely not. I know some men can do this, but not all.

You need to masturbate. Learn your body, it's reactions and what you like in order to bring YOURSELF to orgasm first. Usually, women just stimulate themselves with their own hand/fingers. It can take some time, some women need up to an hour's worth of constant stimulation in order to achieve orgasm. BE PATIENT with yourself. If after a few months you and your boyfriend/partner cannot bring you to orgasm, try using a vibrator. Some women need the extra stimulation that a vibrator can provide.

Above all, never feel pressured. Sex and orgasm is a beautiful thing, not something to be rushed and hurried. Your boyfriend needs to be taught your anatomy and the correct way of stimulating you, don't be ashamed to talk to him, and don't let him be lazy and not touch you properly, or avoid trying to help you come to orgasm. Men can get very caught up in their own pleasure and might not 'get it' the first (dozen, hundred) times you have sex. Be persistent with him and eventually, you will be able to have an orgasm.

A male reader, DoubleM United States + , writes (23 October 2009):

DoubleM agony auntAccording to my experiences with women, they have said that a sensation for a false need to urinate often precedes orgasm. Interestingly, but less reported, the sensation is similar for men, but as we all become more experienced, we learn to discern the difference.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (23 October 2009):

When a woman has an orgasm she feels great pleasure, her vaginal muscles will also contract rapidly, it's pretty much impossible not to tell that you're "coming". If you're having an orgasm, you will KNOW.
