Question - (9 August 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 10 August 2010)
A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

im 17 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 8 months now. we just found out this morning that i am pregnant. it doesn't seem real yet, i feel like its all just a dream.. we're going to take another test tonight and make sure i actually am, but i guess the reason im asking for help is because i don't know how to tell my parents or his parents. im terrified to tell my mom because she had my sister when she was 16, and i don't want her really disappointed in me, but i also know in order to have a healthy pregnancy i need prenatal care. also, my boyfriend and i are very against abortion, so we think we want to keep it. but any suggestions on how to approach my parents and break the news to them ? thanks very much for your time

BlondeBabe x agony auntJust tell them the longer you leave it the harder it will be. You parents may be shocked at first but they are the people that will always love you uncondtionaly and I'm sure that they will support you. You may even find it easier to have your boyfriend there with you. What I would also do is go to the doctors and get yourself properly checked out to make sure you are pregnaunt and that everything is fine.
