I think that you should maybe try flirting with him maybe making it obvious that you do like him? After doing this u can see how he reacts, this will make it easier to bring up in a conversation. I think that u telling him this and him liking u more will just depend on his feelings for you allready, I understand where ur coming from as I get the same thing, if someone likes me and starts paying more attention then I feel more attracted to them, maybe thats what you should do for a while, start flirting a lot more and paying him lots of attention allthough u dnt wnt to try too hard. After this he may realise that he likes it and likes u too. If u dnt want to do this and u wnt to just tell him straight up then just get him alone and tell him how u feel or maybe just inviting him out on a date and then u dnt hav to say it bt yet its obvious, thats always easier to say.
Just remain calm and be confident, guys love that!
