If I met a guy in a club, asked him out, he gave me his number, I texted twice, he never responded. Months later I discover he is now having sex with my best friend. How should I react?

Honestly sounds like you dodged a BIG bullet! Sounds like a complete douchebag who would of wasted your time anyway. You have room now for more guys who actually fancy you and not the ones who likes one night stands.

If your best friend knew about you texting this guy and you told her you were interested in him I'd say she isn't a great friend either.

TylerSage agony auntThere's not much you can do. He turned out to be a jerk. He did you a favour, because now you're available for the right guy to come along.

I'm hoping your friend has no idea that you were into this guy. Because if he did know then it would be a bit weird on the friends part BUT you two didn't exactly do anything so maybe not so much.

Disappointment is a popular course in the school of life. Don't let it get you down, we all fail at handling it sometimes.

All the best.

Andie's Thoughts agony auntI appreciate that you felt the need to ask, but you're in your 30s. He just wasn't interested in you. You never dated or fell in love. You shouldn't be hung up on him months later. How do you react? Well, the guy is a stranger, not an ex, so there's nothing to react to - just accept that he was interested in your friend. It's unfortunate, but happens.

Go out again and just enjoy yourself. Maybe even try online dating.

Shrug it off, and look for somebody cuter! Make sure your friend isn't around when you meet him!

If he ignored you, and went for her...why should you react?

A female reader, Honeypie United States + , writes (31 March 2018):

Honeypie agony auntChalk it up to a no-go.

He wasn't interested in you. It happens. Not all guys you meet will fancy you and YOU will not fancy every guy YOU meet.

He probably gave you his number because he was being too polite to just come out and tell you he wasn't interested. Probably felt it was easier to just ignore your texts.

So what do you do? Wish your friend good luck! And look elsewhere for a partner.
