writes: my bf and i have been going out for three years and i know that i love and care about him and i miss him when we're not together, he is my best friend--but i sometimes wonder if i feel the way i should about him and sometimes even wonder if he's really the one i should spend the rest of my life with. i know i have felt infatuated before but i'm not sure if i have ever been in love. am i in love but just dont realise it cos we've been together so long? what is being in love supposed to feel like?

reader, anonymous, writes (25 June 2009): If your questioning it that worries me a little. Maybe you love him yes, but perhaps your not in-love with him anymore. Same thing happened to me and my fiance of 3yrs. Im in your age category, and I ended up leaving. I figure we only live once and I wasnt going to settle for something I was unsure of, I want to be in love and know its so strong I would never have to question it.

reader, anonymous, writes (25 June 2009): I agree with what Samii said, you just know, and if you've been together for 3 years, I'd definately say it's a little more than just infatuation! But only you know how you feel, so whatever it is, just enjoy it :)
