How do I get rid of the smell down there?

How do I get rid of a smell 'down there'? I've had my period twice, but even before I ever got it itstill smelled bad like my discharge or my blood smells gross. I take a shower once A day and I wash with soap there but even when i am sitting in a chair I smell it. I can't use scented pads/ pantiliners because they irritate/ give me a rash. So, any advice?? P.s. I also do dance so the solution would either have to last a while or have nothing to do with underwear (which btw I change everyday). I need help fast!!!
