writes:This may sound stupid since I already know the answer from my own experience, but I'm just putting the question out there as a poll....to convince a friend that she has a great man.....Her boyfriend lives approx 3-4 hours away from her (depending on how bad the traffic is) on a base. He has quite a bit of trainings going on is what I heard and so she rarely gets to see him or even talk to him due to his schedules. But whenever he has days off or happens to get off early on that day, he would drive to see her, either for a day or sometimes, even if its just for an hour or two. Now this does not happen a lot since he doesnt have that many days off really, but it definitely happens now and then.She has a car and she said she once offered to drive down instead and although the guy says that'll be really nice, he never let her drove that distanceNow....I am going through almost the same thing as what she is going through right now (except I would get really bad road-rage if I drive that long) and no matter how many times I tell her that she has a great man and that he shows he cares through his little actions and little things he did for her. Other guys may give flowers, expensive gifts, or call their gilfriends everyday or spend time with them everyday, her boyfriend obviously can't, but still shows he cares by driving the distance when he could've be at home, in bed sleeping.But..she just won't believe me!So really, guys, would you travel 3 hours minimum one way just to see a girl when you couldve just relax at home? And would it be just any random girl or it has to be someone you care quite a bit/a lot about, someone special?
