How can I make his return special?

Question - (31 October 2007) 3 Answers - (Newest, 16 December 2007)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend has been working away from home for the past few weeks. The night before he left, I planned a night in at our house (we live together) with candles, wine, food, bubble bath, the works.

Now I want to plan something for the night he returns, but I don't want to to do the same thing, anyone have any ideas?

The more unique the better, thanks in advance :o)

Just thought I would update those who replied, I bought us both new glam outfits, and when he arrived home I greeted him at the door in my new dress, heels and hair and makeup all done, 2 glasses of wine in my hand, bubble bath waiting for him, and we went out to our new favourite restaurant for a lovely meal.

We had a really lovely night :o)

Karlos Omnis agony auntI wish my girlfriend had your attitude! But that's besides the point lol.

One thing I will warn you of though, is that he may be extremely tired after coming home at night, and after travelling for what I assume would be a long distance.

It may not be appropriate to give him the same homecoming as you did for his bon voyage, as he may be completely shattered and as a result overwhelmed.

All I would ask for after not seeing my girlfriend for a while is for her to be there ready to greet me with open arms
