A female United Kingdom age 13-15, anonymous writes:

I'm 13 and I met this boy who lives in my street, when I first met him we just clicked. We went out a few times and when I kissed him it felt so right but he is 15 but he is so nice to me. My mum has told me to keep away from him as she thinks he is going to be trouble, he does'nt get into trouble or stuff like that, and he's rather shy! He says we are meant for each other but if we are how come it is this hard? We have practically been going out for 2-3 years, we love each other and have lots in common. How can I make my mum see that it's okay? xXx

LethalInjection-x agony auntIf I were you, I'd ask my mom to meet him properly, and give him a chance to show her what he's really like, to see if she can see him in the nice light that you do.

If your mom doesn't agree to that then there's not much you can do, apart from sticking it out with the guy until you're older, say around 15/16 yourself then trying to talk to your mom about him again.

Good luck sweet.

eyeswideopen agony auntWell if you were my 13 year old daughter you sure wouldn't be able to persuade me to let you date a 15 year old. I'd tell you to bring the subject up in 3 years and we'll see.
