Question - (16 August 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 16 August 2009)
A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I have been with my boyfriend for two and half years and for the past couple of weeks I have been wondering if it is worth going any further with the relationship.

When we fight he'll tell me to F-off, and use phrases like "get F**ked". This doesnt supprise me because when he argues with his mother he generally says these phrases under his breath. He has a quick temper and the other night he got mad at me because I rented a movie that he wanted to see a few months ago...but didnt want to see anymore(becasue i was supposed to know that)so i got upset. Sometimes when i get upset at him i cry and then he says "why are you crying?" so i say "just because" and then he gets more aggitated.

He drinks occasionally and smokes marijuana almost daily. I dont know if thhis has anythign to do with his temper, but i do not approve of the stuff and asked him not to do it infront of me. He clearly didnt respect my request as he contimued to smoke infront of me. He also gets angry when i ask him not ot smoke it infront of me. His friends told him that it would be hard for hiom to quit because they all do it too.

Also, in the time of 2 and a half years, he has requested to break up 3 different times, and i cry, he gets upset, but a day later hes calling me telling me that he didnt want to break up and that he loves me.

I do not know what to do, or say to him about these problems, and would like some help
