writes:I am in love with my friend 'Adam'. He's not my best friend or anything, but we sit by eachother in a few courses I met him in. He is SUCH a sweetheart to me, is really funny, kind, and cute. I'm pretty sure he's going to ask me out because whenever he's around me his friends are always like "are you going to do it yet, Adam?" and then he looks at me and says, "no not yet" and he always calls me 'Lilly darling'. Also, some of his friends have told me he really likes me. So everythings good, right? As if.My friends, the people I like, even the people I don't like, ALL hate Adam. They say he's rude and they make fun of him for going out with a slut (even though he went out with her when he was new and didn't know she was a slut). However, he's never rude around me!! I'm really upset because I REALLY like him but I'm afraid everybody will lose their respect for me and that he will eventually start being rude to me! I've never seen him being rude or anything but one of my friends that Im not really close with is offended by him and i'm afraid she won't like me I I date him! Is there any way I can date him and keep all my friends???

the main thing here is if you like him then stuff everyone else. its nothing to do with them....its your choice who u can or cant go out with.
if they dnt like him then ask them not to be nasty in front of you,tell them youd like for them to at least be civil...FOR YOU.
take things slow and get to know him more before commiting to anything, then youll know if the rumours are true or not
