A reader, anonymous, writes (26 June 2008):

It doesn't matter that you felt no pain. Some girls do when they loose their virginity... Some girls don't.

If your vagina recieved penetration (ie. His penis went fully into your vangina), then you are no longer a virgin.

A virgin is someone who has not had penetration. You have, so there for you are NOT a virgin.

Hope this cleared things up for you.

A male reader, theOC United States +, writes (26 June 2008):

If you have been penetrated by a penis, then you are not a virgin anymore. A lot of people believe that if you break the hymen, a layer of tissue outside the vagina that partially covers the opening, then you're not a virgin anymore.

But the hymen can be different sizes on different people and for some people, nonexistant! The hymen can also break or tear due to sports or masturbation. The hymen does not always break during intercourse since it's a tissue that's fairly elastic. So certain people would have it break, others would not have it break, and others have an unnoticeable hymen.

So if your vagina has been penetrated by a penis, you are not a virgin anymore. Hope this answers your question.

Tremor agony auntIt's not a question of whether you felt pain or not.

If you had sex with him, then congratulations, you are no longer a virgin. There's no question about it.

I do wonder though - if you don't know these things, then perhaps you aren't as ready for sex as you thought.
