How can a friend be so close and never want to talk to you?

My friend only talks to me when he doesn't kno its me? I just started AIM and added him. He kept asking who it was and I didnt want to tll him knowing if I did he would never chat with me. I wanted so much to talk to him but he never understands me. How can a friend e so close and never want to talk to you? He talks to me at school but I'm not going to talk to him because Its the 1 year since my first dog died and it still affects me so much but he never understands. No one can really understand how I feel. I feel like I could cry if I talked about it. The fact that he doesnt care makes me want to forget him but I really like him and value his friendship even though I always forgive him. What should I do?
