I like this guy... he is very shy, well, not shy as such... just quiet... and so does not talk to anyone particularly a lot (except to the lads when they're goofing about). We talk more in text than we do in real life but although it always seems like it's me texting him first, he texts back and stuff..I text him on valentines day (just asking an unrelated question) and he text back answering and said happy valentines day x. In college we smile at each other but I'm shy too, so sometimes we ignore each other but if the boys are goofing about and teasing me he will sometimes join in.You see... what I'm trying to get at is, I'm confused about him! His texts suggest he likes me... but I just don't know and I feel silly tryng to uncode it.

Without face to face conversation, you will not go anywhere with this guy.
I say cut down on the texting and more in person.
He seems shy around you, and he would only say something to you or about you in front of you if his buddies say something that is concerning you. maybe he is always waiting on that opening line, to say something to you.
You should take this to another level, try it out, you should approach him and start talking. DON'T rub him off.
Let see what happens... let me know
