Ok so!

Recently I finally got over my ex, it took like 6 months but I am finally over him, we ended up just honestly stay best friends.

Anyway now that I have moved on I found this new guy I really kinda like. I always saw him around the school last year and thought he was pretty hot but now this year he is actually in one of my choir classes :))))

I about flipped out right then and there when he walked in on the first day (which was only 3 days ago might I add). I then added him on fb after the 2nd day and he literally accepted in less than 4 seconds.

I mean I get it if he has the all on his phone or whatever but that still seems a little quick to just accept someone you have never had a full convo with. Needless to say I was ecstatic then too.

Well after he did that my phone signed with Facebook and automatically gave me his cell number. Then my best friend (who knows I like him) had the bright idea to text him from my phone.

We ended up texting for nearly 3 hours from 11pm til 2am mostly with him trying to figure out who I was. We flirted and talked and i learned he has like the same sense of humor as me, which I find HIGHLY attractive.

He actually ended up never figuring it out and he stopped talking (I assumed he fell asleep) then he never said anything else, to to get him to talk I said "oh I am so sorry my best friend stole my phone last night and was pretending to be me" he then asked who I was so I told him and that was the end of that.

I really like him and I wanna get to know him better and see if we might be able to get something going, ya know? But then there is also this small problem of the age gap -.- he's a sophomore and I'm a senior. And I have never dated anyone younger so idk how to really do that.

But then again he is 16 and I am 17 so age wise its only one year. Plus he's super mature and smart. The dudes a sophomore and he's in precalc and advances other classes (either he told me these while trying to figure out my identity or friends of mine happen to have classes with him and I told me)so now I am just kind of wondering, where do I go from here?

Try to talk to him in choir? Text him again just casually? I really don't want to seem desperate and push it too quick but I don't wanna take is snail pace either. Any advice would help, thx guys!!!

So_Very_Confused agony auntthe age of one year is not a big deal at this point.

stop playing games with him..

at the next choir meeting you go up to him and say "sorry my friend was so stupid with all the texting I'm (your name) nice to meet you" and hold out your hand to shake his hand...

You've already had a conversation by text for nearly three hours.

It's time to introduce yourself, or he'll think you're just messing around with his head. One year doesn't matter, if he doesn't mind. It's just a matter of time before he's 17 also.

Maybe you should find out.

Having a conversation is just talking. That's the way people get to know each other, last time I checked.
