I have been seeing this girl for five years. At the time I was going through a rough patch in my marriage. I realised what I was doing is wrong and so pushed this girl away, but not too long later we established contact again. This pushing away and then realised my love for her is real, and has happened many times over in the course of 5 years.

Recently, this girl told me she has had enough and I had to admit my real feelings for her. And I admitted it and talked to my wife about it.

At first, this girl just wanted to remain friends. Within a month of telling me she just wanted to be friend. I have seen her a few times, but each time it crosses the line of friendship more and more.

I am confused. I know her family will not approved of me. May be on one hand she is bothered by their views, but on the other, her subconciousness feelings for me is there and evident.

Can you explain this situation?

Okay, if your wife is still a part of this, you have no business even thinking it. No woman wants to be "the other woman", regardless of how she feels about you.

If the wife is gone, and the friend still insists she only wants to be friends, then do that. Quit giving her the option and see which way she jumps. You will then have your answer.
