I'm a 22 year old female, and I'm really struggling with life.

Everything seems to be going wrong, one after another. Just when I think things are starting to improve, something else happens. It's just general stuff really, health problems, neighbour problems, family issues... I suppose everyone has these kinds of problems, but everything seems to have come at once.

Just when I think that things are improving, and I try to be more optimistic and hopeful, something or someone comes along to knock me back down again. I feel like I will never be happy again, and it is a really lonely experience. The world seems like a horrible place. Does anybody else ever feel like this? Any advice on how to get through it? Thanks.

I just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who left a message. It is really comforting to know that people care about other people, and I found all of your words inspiring and hope-giving.

Thanks again. xx

Life does get tricky sometimes, but in expecting bad things they become easier to find. I have felt like this before, and silly things like listing the good things (things you enjoy - the simpler the better, and achievements way up from the small stuff) can really help. If you can, try talking to a friend about how you're feeling.

It's not easy, but this bad feeling will pass

Look on the bright side if everything has come at once, then the rest of your life will be easier, much easier.

live day by day. Every day be pleased at the small things - like being alive, sunshine etc. (now want to sing the sun will come out tomorrow).

What are the things you enjoy? go do them. Spend time with people. Think what you want to do and be and go do them.

Think of 5 positive things every day - (as a starter for today) 1) you posted here, 2) you got a response (at least) so someone is listening 3) i am not actually singing the sun will come out. 4) you have smiled a little 5) tomorrow is going to be a better day.

Trust me, I think we've all felt this way at times. I'm going through alot of that myself at the moment. In a weird way it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one. I just thought it might be comforting to you as well.

Life sucks sometimes. You're sure to feel this way again, probably many more times in your life in fact. Just be patient. Surround yourself with things and people you love.

But don't forget that it's good to be alone sometimes too! Personally, I like to be out in the sun as much as possible when I'm feeling this way. And when it gets really bad take a nice bubble bath and just soak for an hour!

Remember, you're not alone; there's a whole world of people that care about you.

Oh sweetie. You remind me of my daughter. She will be 22 in november. Your life sounds a lot like mine though. I am 46 years old and feel like my whole life has been like that. Even though there have been some good times. I believe a lot of it is what we choose to feel about certain situations and how we handle them. I have learned that you have to lean on God and if you always look to him for direction, the rough times will seem less harsh all the time.

ilovebowsandcherries agony auntoh hun! i've been there so many times to be honest it still happens,

but i try not to let it get to me!

i mean easier said than done i know.

but all you need to do is think positive! think forward and think future!

you think of ALL the great qualities about you and EVERYONE else around you will see them all.

i understand that is easier said than done.

but keep thinking forward never think back.

i understand about people knocking you down i've had alot of that but you know what? i've come to learn from it and think thank you to those of you whom knocked me down when i was weak or vulnerable because now it's help me become a better person i've learnt from what i did to what i NEED to do now.

and trust me hun you WILL get there!

people who knock you down just make you realise you don't need that and make you soo strong within yourself and you feel so ALIVE and feel like you can and WILL achieve anything. pop me a message you need to talk further :)

chin up hun!

i hope this helps.
