My ex-boyfriend acted like he wanted me back around christmas time. we got chatting again even though i avoided him since our break up, and ended up kissing at a mutual friends party. I only went ahead with this because I was reassured by his best friend that he wanted me back. he then claimed he was drunk, remembers minimal and did not mean this to happen. I dont get it! how much can change in a week? the friday before he had been telling his friend all that stuff, then when i offered myself on a plate, he turned me down! What do I do? i want him back, but he's had two chances and i need to be strong.

He's not a bad person!

Thanks

Get rid! Just start again with someone else. He doesn't seem to know just what he wants, and i don't think it is you.

Take care

Maybe he was in two minds about wanting you back. Maybe he just hoped to have a session in bed with you, who knows? Telling his friend he wants you back, then kissed you, claimed he was drunk and remembers almost nothing, is rather a lame excuse.

You said you have given him two chances, and he's blown it. Now you realize you need to be strong. So stay with that thought, and keep moving forward, if only one hour, one day, at a time. Because, unless he can come up with more convincing evidence than this, then its not worth it to give him any more chances!
