writes: This is really getting me down.. i no i am only young but... i met a really nice boy on holiday... we connected really well... and we were all over each other... before anything got too serious he told me he had a girl friend at home... so i was a bit upset about that... but last night he told me something that really disturbed me... the girl he is currently with hits him because shes quite strong and has two brothers that would beat the boy that i like up... if i was with him none of this would happen... i really like this person so much... HELP!!!

reader, anonymous, writes (6 January 2007): This does not sound good to me, you are considering seeing a boy that has a girlfriend and a couple of brothers beat him up, what do you think they might do to you if you get involved with him?
This is not your deal to fix and I would stay clear, your boy friend has two legs, all he needs to do is stand up on both of them and walk away from that mess, he is there because he wants to be....
Also, he is a cheater if he is fooling around on you behind his girlfriend's back so maybe that is why she punches him, he sounds like bad news.
I also hope you are not having sex, you are too young to be doing that, unwanted pregnancy, STD's (boys your age are not very into hygene) the risk of cervical cancer at a young age...moral issues, your reputation, your lack of focus on self and school, your eroding self esteem, so stop before you go any further with this boy....talk to your parents if you can about it and get a little closer to them, they should be able to help you out with how you are feeling about all of this.
