He told me he had the same feelings towards me, later announced me he has a gf! What should I say to him?

OKay well I'm not dating this guy but I really do like him a lot. He told me he has the same feelings for me too but Today he gives me a call and we talked for about two minutes and then he tells me to get on the computer so we can talk on there. So I get on and he askes if I want to hear his BAD news. And I really do care about him so I said Yea I wanna know of course I do. Then he tells me "Oh I have a gf now".And I was like Oh well thats nice and I signed off. I really didn't know what to say to him...so my ? is what should I do because I really truely do care about him. ANd I know he has a gf and I don't want to ruin that but I really just don't want it to end now!! Please help me...what should I say to him?

forget him - the fact he didn't have the balls to tell you that on the phone and had to tell you via the internet shows hes not man enough and not worth being with.
