A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Before I ask this question I would just like to say - YES , I do really how stupid it is...but events leading up to this has caused me some serious paranoia. I need to sort my head out. I understand this is ridiculous but seriously just go with it, please.

My boyfriend told me he loved me before we were even together, we met in odd circumstances. I was nursing a friend of his over a period of time and me and my now boyfriend were attracted to one another. His friend is no longer in my care and it is now perfectly fine for me to be in a relationship with my man.

Anyway I was quite surprised when he told me he loved me that I just blurted out "I love you too" I think it was just my first initial reaction to do so but I'm still unsure as to whether I really do actually love him I mean I have only know him just over three months.

I had doubts that he genuinely did love me and it was bugging me. So, anyway earlier on today I texted in to one of those psychic hotlines "Does (insert name here) really love me?" to which I got this reply...

"I'm sorry to say my cards are not confirming that its feelings between you at the moment, don't let your imagination run too far ahead of him."

I know it could just be a load of rubbish but still it's got me thinking...

boo22 agony auntHun, please relax a bit. Like you said you've only been going out for 3 months. He's not going anywhere so just let the story unfold and enjoy the romance and fun of it.

Guys say all sorts of things all the time. He likes being with you so take this time to figure out whether you love him or not instead of worrying what he's thinking x

romany agony aunthmmmm, texting psychic hotline? I got to say, personally for me, I think its complete claptrap. I'd not take a blind bit of notice, So please dont waste money on them.

He watched you care for his friend, he saw how you handled his friends vulnerability, and watched you nurturing and I can believe he fell in love with you, you on the other hand was busy with his friend, so I dont think you should be too hard on yourself, you never had time to think about him the same way he did, however that said, I do think you are afraid you are falling in love with him, and your insecure about how he really feels for you, hence psychic text line, (Which is probably a computer generated response due to amount of letters in name, or a bored housewife just sending out random responses, lol.)

If your happy with the way things are going, enjoy it, you may fall head over heels, you may not, but I think your looking for flaws as your happy, or afraid of the unknown, and enjoy it.

if he said it to you why would you question it, if he did not love you he wouldnt say it! go with it but if you dont share the feeling you dont need to say it to him. sometimes we fall in love immediately , and i know alot of people who only dated a few weeks and got married and are still together happy.

TimmD agony auntIt is WAY too soon for him to say I love you. At this point, he is confusing lust for love. He's moving too fast and this is definitely cause for concern. Be extremely cautious and do not tell him that you love him again unless you are 100% sure. Otherwise his delusion will just be reinforced.
