Looking back though it was definitely a self confidence issue with him, he needed alcohol to give him the confidence to go in for the kill. At the time I just through yep he's a jerk, but theres more to it than that.
My advice is stop kissing him when he is drunk and say you like him alot, but you just don't like kissing a drunk guy. Maybe spend more time alone in eachothers company while both of you are sober and avoid clubs and bars.
